About Ryobi
Ryobi is a Japanese manufacturer that was created in 1943 to sell die cast products and by 1961 was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Ryobi began producing their line of power tools in 1973 and they currently have 12 manufacturing facilities that span 6 countries. In 1985 Ryobi opened their first plant in the United States located in Shelbyville Indiana. In 1988 Ryobi purchased Diehl Motor Company which was a division of Singer Corporation and began supplying Sears with power tools. In the United States and Canada Ryobi tools are sold exclusively through The Home Depot, in Australia and New Zealand they are sold by Bunnings Warehouse, and in the United Kingdom Ryobi can be purchased at hardware stores. Ryobi continues to produce quality products for sale all over the world.
